Commissioning Technician

Job Purpose Commissioning project Technicians on construction projects for semiconductor fabrication facilitiesincluding support buildings and systems. Individual will interface and coordinate with contractdesign, construction, and estimating resources, and internal client organizations to enable facilitydevelopment efforts for variety of CS systems. Efforts will include definition of design criteria,development of design concepts, completion of detailed design, and safety requirements, andfacilitating project commissioning activities. Role will also include closure of project and relateddocumentation to transitioning successfully to operational support.Duties, Authorities and Responsibilities Accountable for the delivery of facilities infrastructure & System Integration. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Day to day direction to General Contractor (GC) company – in line with Contract requirements.General Contractor management, Stakeholder management, Vendor management, working close with SPOC, PE, Work Group & Commissioning managerManagement of Vendor to install & commission relevant CS infrastructure end to endTechnically competent on CS infrastructure, systems and protocolsInput to CPA development if requiredParticipating in Design reviewsMonitoring & Tracking the General Contractor to ensure the GC delivers the Scope Schedule & BudgetTechnical & constructability input to Design ReviewsTechnical & constructability input to Schedule developmentTechnical & constructability input to Cost challengesUnderstanding & implementing the terms of the contract with the GCStrong Quality of installationStrong Field presenceStrong advocate for Safety performance in field (Mandatory Safety Culture Compliance)Full compliance to Intel SOP’s & policiesWorking with support groups & other work groupsMonitor track, influence & manage from design process, through construction, through OAT’s / FAT’s, matching to white paper complete & approvedDevelopment of procedures & policies to ensure an effective & efficient delivery of the project.Ensuring that the work is being performed to Intel policies and expectations. (IMDS/IMCS)Responsible for the development of effective process design deliverables to support all aspects of constructionEffective at managing design, construction, and start-up Information Technology systems in semiconductor facilities.Effective with reading and interpreting construction contract documents.Effective with Low Voltage Communications, and specialty codes.Experienced with construction management.7 or more years’ related experience required, RCDD Required.Able to manage multiple aspects of projects effectively, and direct the activities of others.Engagement with PCG to define budget, obtain funding release, track budget spends and commits, payment of contractors/vendors, project/depreciation settlementEnsure open communication channels to Corporate Services including communication on policies, specs and standardsConduct meetings with CM, A&E, sub-contractors, discipline specialists and CS Ops personnel as appropriate to ensure progress is on scheduleEnsure Intel direct purchase LAN Equipment is received and stored in the Project’s designated space and that this inventory is accurately documented.Actively Support the Commissioning Activities with the IT-owned Rooms, including ConstructionComplete, OAT & FAT. In addition, ensure that the CS scope supporting other Disciplines OAT activities aligns with their need datesMinimum Requirements & Qualifications He/she should be qualified as a Technical Engineering certification, or equivalent. Experience inFacilities Mechanical, / Electrical / Instrumentation & System Integration & Construction Management.Good written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and have a working knowledge of office personal computer applicationsAbility to develop and implement innovative engineering and design methodologies to support very aggressive program and construction schedulesProficiency with reading and interpreting standard construction documents, schedules, contracts and proposalsFamiliarity with design, sizing and modelling methods for CS infrastructure and standards end to endUnderstands commissioning, OAT’s & FAT’sAbility to interface with a multi-user customer base.Ability to manage workload of multiple projects of varying complexityExperience with construction, start-up, and turnover of systems to operational sustaining support would be an added advantageAble to work effectively within a variety of management levels, between the customer and the contractors, as well as outside clients and vendors.Effective at problem-solving, including methodologies, research strategies, logical reasoning, critical analysis of information and cooperative learning.Ability to resolve conflict and keep everything on trackAbility to work on own initiativeWorks with a sense of urgencyRegularly updates on progress / help neededEnergetic / motivated and eager for the job roleConstruction safe pass
